Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada– Andira Pharmaceuticals is proud to welcome Janette Lyons as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Janette is a senior finance and business leader with over 15 years of executive financial management experience. She brings to Andira an impressive track record of success working in start-ups, multinational, crown corporation, private, and public firms.
Andira founder and CEO, Dana Lambert, RPh, Ph.D. says, “Janette understands how to support rapidly growing companies from a financial management standpoint – which makes the timing of her joining Andira superb.”
Most recently, Janette was the CFO at Powerex, the largest energy trader in the Western Electricity Coordinating Council, and served previously as Director of Finance at Canada Bread Company Ltd. and Director of Finance at Nabisco Co. Ltd. Over her career, Janette has developed and implemented key performance indicators, strategic & integrated financial planning and modeling, as well as operational infrastructure and efficiency initiatives that have driven millions in cost savings for organizations. Her forecasting expertise, understanding of business planning, and experience working in highly regulated industries are tremendous assets as Andira prepares for strong growth.

A graduate of Western University, Janette holds a BA in business and finance, is a certified public accountant, is a Six Sigma management technique green belt, and recently won CFO of the Year at The CFO Centre. Throughout her career, Janette has volunteered for organizations that address unmet medical needs for information and care for disadvantaged populations. This includes serving on the board of directors for WOW – Women on Web a digital community of individuals and organizations that support women’s health and answers thousands of help-emails daily in many languages from women around the world.
