Andira Pharmaceuticals was founded by President & CEO Dana Lambert, BSc(Pharm), PhD. While beginning her career as a hospital pharmacist, Dr. Lambert was deeply moved by the patients she cared for whose needs were unmet by conventional medicine. This inspired her to return to the University of British Columbia (UBC) to explore the pharmaceutical potential of cannabinoids, leading to breakthrough research discoveries and the creation of Andira Pharmaceuticals.
After receiving a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from UBC, Vancouver, Canada, Lambert’s ongoing research led to the invention of Andira Pharmaceuticals’ targeted breast cancer therapeutics including their novel drug delivery system. Dr. Lambert is also co-inventor of the cannabinoid-based triple synergy anti-bacterial agent comprised of daptomycin, cannabichromene (CBC) and cannabigerol (CBG; US Patent granted), and lead inventor of Silvanex™ antimicrobial technology, the world’ first triple synergy antimicrobial with dual bactericidal and fungicidal action, comprised of silver, cannabichromene (CBC) and cannabigerol (CBG; patents pending globally).
Dana’s vision and dedication to improving healthcare through innovative cannabinoid-based therapies continues to drive our mission and success.
