Dr. Loveless has previously served as Medical Director for the Infectious Disease and Transplant Medicine groups at Genentech, Inc., South San Francisco, CA. He received his M.D. from the Honors Program in Medical Education at Northwestern University, and is Board Certified in Infectious Disease and Internal Medicine. Dr. Loveless has had a career focus on translational infectious disease research, quality clinical care and health care delivery systems effectiveness. This work has been applied to HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis C, Transplantation, Stroke, pandemic influenza, cystic fibrosis, asthma and other therapeutic areas. He has presented over 900 lectures and authored over 50 peer-reviewed scientific publications.
